When Praises Go Up, Blessings Come Down
It was 1996 when I first heard this statement in a song. I fell in love with the words and the music to it until I developed my own style of playing it on the keyboards. I also discovered a deeper search of the words that not only when praises go up, blessings come down but also when praises go up the BLESSER, which is God comes down. He said he inhabits the praises of his people. So when we start praising God, he will come and rest upon our hearts and give us the peace and joy that we need to make it through life's circumstances. Many times when people say the statement: When praises go up, blessings come down, they are generally talking about material things such as money, houses, a mate, a baby, a job, etc. But none of these things bring sufficient joy and peace but the happiness that comes with them fade over time. Money spends, houses get old and need repairs and improvement, spouses are imperfect people, babies take more love than they give, and jobs can be stressful. If you want to feel the presence of God and have joy even in the midst of sorrow and the storms that you face in life, PRAISE will take you right into the presence of God and he will fill you with your heart's desire. Praise from a sincere heart toward God will ultimately lead you to worship and worship will get you into the throneroom where God can talk to you and reveal his mind. So as I send up praises to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, even if the material things don't come down the way I expect them to, his presence and peace will be enough to carry me throughout my day. Thank you Jesus for coming down to me and manifesting your awesome glory!!!!
