Difference Between Weak Saints and Hypocrites
Lord knows if it's anything that cooks my goose, it is to know that I am among a pretender. Somebody who is one thing in the church and something totally different outside the church. One of God's scriptures that I struggle with is Matthew 13:30 when Jesus mentions let the wheat and the tare grow together and he will do the separating. Excuse me Lord, but I haven't been perfected in that area of holiness yet. When I was first saved and filled with the Holy Ghost, they taught us that you cultivate your relationship with God and maintain salvation by keeping God's commandments and living holy. As I began to nip things out of my life that I took on in the world like cussing and listening to worldly music, I began to enjoy walking with Christ and didn't want to be named among a hypocrite. Matter of fact I was living so righteously until one of my family members stopped inviting me to her house and accused me of being "too holy". Mind you, not long after that, this same individual caught a nasty sexuality transmitted disease becaus she wasn't holy enough. But anyway I just believe in doing everything that you know is right to please the Lord even if you stumble sometimes and make mistakes or fall into sin. Do I believe Christians sin? Of course we do but the key is repentance, asking God's forgiveness and for strength not to do that same thing over and over again. I regard a weak saint as somebody who has gotten caught off guard maybe because they don't have on all of their spiritual armor, but at the same time, they are seeking help to get strong and overcome the temptations that they have been falling into. On a side note, I regard a hypocrite as somebody who wilfully sins and make efforts to cover up and hide their sins from their pastor or other Christians. Hypocrites don't strive against sin, but they enjoy it while at the same time proclaiming to know Jesus and on their way to heaven anyhow. I don't think so. This thing really bothers me because I see so many people being fooled into believing folks who have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof. They deny the power of God to keep them out of a life of sin by continuing to practice sin on purpose. Yet and still they are all up in the church dancing and shouting, some are preaching or teaching the gospel, and others are just laymen who come to church regularly and know what is right but refuse to live by it. It frustrates me so much because I know that I can't do a whole lot about it without making a plumb fool out of myself in front of folks who choose to believe and support such hypocrites. Some things are OBVIOUSLY WRONG according to scripture but you have church folks who go ahead and endorse it anyway because they like the person, or because they been knowing the person for such a long time. The reason the for real saints can't do or say too much is because the bible speaks of these things happening when people will turn their ears away from the truth and be more attracted to people who tickle their ears and tell them what they want to hear. I'm all for good preaching but my most desirous concern is sound doctrine. I believe in a person living the life that they testify about in public and in private. I know that our righteousness is as filthy rags and no person can be justified or saved by good works alone but that is not a license to just live like a backyard dog after one has come into the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.I have more tolerance and patience for somebody who will be honest and admit that they have a weakness and struggling with sin in their life and want to get rid of it, than a person who will look me in the eye and tell a bold faced lie that they been walking with Jesus since day one but got all kind of hell-skeletons in the closet. One of the biggest types of deliberate hypocrisy that is so common among people who say they know the Lord, is fornication and adultery. If people get everything else in their life straightened out such as stop drinking and partying and doing drugs or robbing and stealing, or cussing folks out, it seem like they really can be saved if they just learn how to keep the flesh under subjection until they get married or be faithful to the spouse they already have. Most Christians are miserable whether married or single and they seek after gratifying the flesh through sexual pleasure that is forbidden in scripture but still want to hold on to God too. Well, with God's standards, that's not going to work because he said that fornication and adultery are sins that is committed against your own body so if we destroy our bodies which are the temple of the Holy Ghost, then how can God keep excusing that behavior and blessing it? No, anything that is not ordained and blessed of God has a curse on it and he regards fornication and adultery as a form of idolatry which is spiritual adultery when his people go whoring around after strange flesh. If you take a survey and divide it up into sections that say Christians who believe in the promises of God for healing, prosperity, and bringing you into your season.....the numbers would probably be off the charts. If another part of the survey says how many Christians believe that God wants a daily relationship with you to communicate with you in prayer and his word.....the numbers might edge off a little but they would still be high. But if the last part of the survey included how many Christians would be willing to give up habits such as smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages, chasing men or women for sexual purposes, and leading a lifestyle of holiness.......the numbers are destined to plummet to the bottom of the barrel. The reason for this is because most Christians want to use God for what they can get out of him to make their lives comfortable here on earth, but the mindset of God is to cause us to lose our comfort and friendship with the world so we can be with him in eternity. Before Christ returns, there will be a lot more exposure and judgment for sin amongst those who say they belong to Christ because he said judgment will begin at the house of GOD. I pray for all weak Christians who are struggling with sin and I also pray for hypocrites too that they would turn from their wicked ways and serve God FOR REAL. Being true to God, true to others, and true to oneself is the epitome of joy in the Christian life. Anything outside of that is a fairy tale of lies and cover ups that will eventually be uncovered either on this side or the other side of life. Lord help me to stay right with you always!!!!
