False vs. True
First of all, I want to say that my next to last posts were in regards to false prophets being on the rampage and deceiving people. But more importantly is that I want to talk about the difference between the false and the true in the church. This is an easy topic yet it is difficult at the same time because most people who go to church look like the real church. Most preachers sound very real and make you think they got what it takes to lead your soul to heaven. However, I've done quite a bit of studying in the books and studying of people in real life to be able to detect when something is in error. Now the things we must understand is that there are some people who are deceived and walking in error but are unaware of it, that's what deception is. Yet, when the truth is made known to them and their error is shown to them, that is the point where they have to make a decision about whether to repent and turn from their old ways of doing things to the true way which is God's way. God teaches us how to live godly and soberly in this present world through his word and he also provides us with ministers who bear several different kinds of titles such as bishop, apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher, missionary, etc. God in his wisdom knows how to use an individual to help them teach and reach those who are lost and even the saved ones who need encouraging and uplifting. The twist of this thing is that not everybody who converts people to Jesus are really in the will of God themselves, but because they possess the gifts of teaching, preaching, and winning souls, God can and does still use them in the ministry. This is the part that really baffles my mind and probably yours too. Well, to provide scripture on a person being used by God during a time he was out of the will of God is in 1 Samuel 10:11-13 and 1 Samuel 19:23-24 where the Spirit of God came upon Saul and he prophesied right along with the other prophets. The people in the land knew about Saul's ruthless reputation and they asked the question: "Is Saul also among the prophets"? And this is just the kind of reaction that many people today have towards others who they see preaching or singing in the choir or leading praise and worship service who they KNOW is living a raggedy life and not representing God in their daily walk. It really comes off as a shock. And it makes you wonder about the people who prime and pump them up and make you ask yourself, "do they really know this person"? In other words, if they knew what we knew they would not be calling this person a true man of God or true woman of God. Now I realize that everybody has a past and that we've come short of God's glory even after being saved but that's where repentance comes into play. What I'm talking about in this particular case is an individual who knowingly and willfully sins against God in the public and private and then get up in church and try to lead God's people and have not repented but plan on doing what they do again when the opportunity presents itself. For some reason that only God knows (we don't know) God will still use this type of person to accomplish his will and purposes for others who are truly seeking after Christ with all their heart, mind, and soul. This is what Paul was saying when he mentioned in 1 Corinthians 9:27-But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. Paul understood the fact that with all the knowledge and experience that he had in God, that he could very well be used by God to save sinners and he himself be one who has gone back into sin and be lost himself. He mentioned keeping his body under subjection, because this is the only thing that Satan can have legal rights to gain access to a person's mind and actions. And in this day and time we see that people are allowing the devil to use their body (mouth, mind, sexual organs, hands for violence, etc.) to do his dirty work, but they still go to church and many are in leadership positions. This is one type of deception that makes these types of people extremely dangerous to both the saved and unsaved world. Their actions send a double standard and message that you can be saved and still live a sinful life. Their messages do not reflect or inject the holiness of God which tell us to be ye holy for I am holy (1 Peter 1:16). Many people are confused when they look at the church world today because they don't see much of a difference between folks who say they are Christians and those who they know don't even go to church. There is worldly music in the church, preachers drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes and joints, sexual immorality, homosexuality and lesbianism, profanity, lying, and just all kinds of wickedness is going on amongst those who proclaim they know Jesus. Some say that the above mentioned sins are not all the sins that people do. No they are not and truly all sin is sin but all sins do not have the same consequences. Running a red light and getting a traffic ticket that will disappear off one's driving record within 3 years is sin according to disobeying the laws of the land but this type of sin does not have the same consequences as contracting HIV during an adulterous affair because this kind of repercussion is generally for life (unless God heals and delivers). Furthermore, the thing that really sets me off in this day and time is all the "good talk" about Bishop so-and-so and Prophet so-and-so. This is such a red flag to me and it should be to the rest of those who are not asleep in the body of Christ. We know those who are REALLY REAL in Christ Jesus DO NOT receive props all the time from both the Christian and unsaved world but the REAL SAINTS go through persecution, suffering, rejection, and even death for their faith in Jesus Christ. This is another thing that many Christians are blind to the fact that we will suffer tremendously just before the second coming of Jesus Christ. The apostles and the early Christians of the first century church suffered greatly, many ran for their lives and hid in caves and fled to the wilderness, and many others were martyrs for the name of Jesus Christ. In comparison to the saints back then and the "so-called" saints nowadays, people consider persecution is not being approved for a car loan. Give me a break!!!!! This generation is so material minded and they run after preachers and teachers who a like-minded. They eagerly promote and support those who tell them things that sound good but are not necessarily sound doctrine. For example if someone posts something on facebook that says: "Within 3 days, you will receive a check in the mail", that poster will get about 500 Likes, 236 comments worth of thank you man/woman of God, and about 50 friend requests sent to them. On the other hand, if someone posts something that reads: "Set your spiritual house in order because Jesus is coming soon". If they get 12 Likes and 2 Comments, they're doing good. We're living in a time where the REAL Christians are being revealed by the less popularity they receive and I love it. I love the fact that people do not flock in behind me in droves or always saying nice things about me because if that were to happen, then that means that people have made it about me and not about Jesus. This is the danger zone that many have fallen into. The thing about the true anointing of God upon a person's life is that it will attract the attention of others, but not everybody is going to like what they see and hear. Some will be attracted because they know you have what they need and they want to be delivered from demons and come out of a world of sin. Basically, when a person is really wanting to change, they will be more attracted to a man or a woman for spiritual purposes and not fleshly purposes. Jesus also had a following of thousands upon thousands but he knew that not all of them were following him because of the Spirit, but they were following him for the fish and loaves (something to feed their flesh), and whenever the food ran out, they ran out. Whenever he gave them sound teaching regarding the kingdom of God, many walked away and left him and no longer walked with him. When he got ready to go die on the cross, he was alone. And I think this will be the breaking point of many who are in ministry for the wrong purposes, just for the masses of crowds and money and glamour and good sayings about them. If all of that was to come to a screeching halt, many would draw back in their faith and compromise trying to gain it all back. But Jesus said if you try to find your own life, you will lose it but if you lose your life for His sake, then you will find it (Matthew 10:39). The real saints will go through the purging and refining processes that God will continue to send us through until the rapture or until we die. Those who are not real will be a part of the great falling away and not make it through the fires of persecution, unjust ridicule, torture, and many kinds of suffering that is coming upon the Church. Only God knows what will cause their ultimate falling away but the word is clear that many are preaching just for filthy lucre (money), and are adulterous, and some intentionally deceive others. That's another danger that we have to face is that some false prophets and teachers were originally ordained by Satan to be his worker and advocate to deceive those who love believing lies and other falsies were true at one time but have erred and drawn away from the true faith to believing lies and myths. Their fates are still the same.......the lake of fire. Well, it's past 9:00 and I will continue this later. Goodnight!!!!
